    Exposure Elite Has An Exciting Sunday

    Exposure Elite was busy this weekend during a one-day tournament on Sunday, May 4, 2019, hosted by 3TwoElite and held at James Mission Community Center.  Coached by Clifton Harris, Jr., the Elite played in the 16U category and went 1-3. 

    The Elite came out strong against the Infinity team but fell short 47-34 at the end of the contest. Jay Lindsey was 2-4 from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line, while Jacob Simmons was 4-10 from the field and had 6 big rebounds. Big man JD Dickson pulled down 10 strong rebounds and went 2-5 from the field. The team went 12-34 from the field, 2-12 behind the three-point line, 4-6 from the free throw line, and 24 rebounds. 

    The Elite faced a very quick Bulldogs (Black) team, but hung strong throughout the match-up, but were unable to pull off a win as the score came to 50-30. Jacob Simmons was again strong at the free throw line, going 6-8 and finishing with 8 points, while Killian Spellman was strong on the boards with 10 rebounds. The team total was 6-22 from the field, 1-9 behind the three-point line 15-29 from the free throw line, and 22 rebounds. 

    The final match-up against a scrappy Crossovers team is where the Elite was victorious 45-41. Killian Spellman grabbed 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 11 points. Where Jay Lindsey and Jacob Simmons both had 8 points. Guard Tay’Shawn Jones knocked down a big three-pointer late in the second half, and Seven Bailey was 2-3 from the free throw line. JD Dickson had a strong 7 points and 6 rebounds. The team ended with 13-27 from the field, 3-13 from the three-point line, 10-18 from the free throw line, and 24 rebounds.

    The Elite is gearing up to perform in Nationals at the Adidas Gauntlet Memorial Day Weekend in Mansfield, Texas.
